ADHD Awarening Association

ADHD is not a deficit — it's a difference.

We build understanding, access, and practical support for people, families, and communities with ADHD.

Our Mission

We change how society understands ADHD. Through education, advocacy, lived-experience storytelling, practical supports, we create pathways for early diagnosis, equitable care, and thriving—at school, work, and home.

What We Do

Awareness & Attention

Public campaigns that replace stigma with knowledge using digital and social resources.

Therapists Support

Oportunities and financial aid refferals for therapists to help and work in treating ADHD.

By The Numbers

  • ≈ 1 in 9 children (≈11–12%) have been diagnosed with ADHD.
  • Nearly 1 in 3 children with ADHD (≈30%) did not receive any ADHD-specific treatment in 2022
  • Students with the combined type of ADHD drop out of high school at much higher rates.
  • About 4–6% of adults have ADHD, but many are missed.
  • Most adults with ADHD also have another psychiatric condition.
  • Adults with ADHD face economic hardship and higher unemployment risk.

Success Stories

Mariam

Finding small, steady wins

“I used to wake up with a thousand things on my mind and no idea where to start. My therapist helped me build tiny, practical routines — two-minute rituals that stopped the evening spiral. Now I finish more days feeling calm, not exhausted.”
M., member

Ethan

School life that finally fits

“Homework felt impossible. After a few weeks of guided planning and check-ins, I learned how to break projects into steps that actually get done. My teachers noticed I’m less anxious and more present in class.”
E., student

Fatima

A teacher who got support too

“Between lessons, parent meetings, and grading, I burned out fast. The school program gave me confidential coaching and quick tools for classroom structure. I’m better rested, more patient, and the classroom runs smoother — which helps the students, too.”
F., teacher
